Winter wheels
I have a Golf Mk6 with 16-inch alloy wheels, size 205/55/R16. Can I fit 15-inch steel wheels with winter tyres (195/65/R15) on this car? Does this require a change to the DVLA registration document, or do I just need to tell the insurer?

You could. No need to inform DVLA. But you must disclose the switch to your insurer. It might actually work out cheaper to stick with 16-inch alloys and 205/55 R16 winter tyres. Talk to www.tyremen.co.uk
