Hyundai Tucson - automatic or manual?

I'm considering buying a Hyundai Tucson. My mileage is 6000 a year so am looking at a petrol engine. Which engine and transmission would you recommend? Would you recommend a Toyota RAV4 2.0 Multidrive over the Hyundai?

The new Tucson is reviewed here: www.honestjohn.co.uk/carbycar/hyundai/tucson-2015/ The RAV4 2.0i Valvematic Multidrive S uniquely only comes as a 4WD CVT automatic. It's decent to drive, but it's good claimed fuel economy is not reflected by readers real life experience.
