Replacement for a Golf Plus

Must have the high driving position. Petrol engine and automatic preferred. BMW 2 Series Active Tourer a possibility but what alternatives are there? Good ride and comfort are a must.

The alternative is theGolf SV but, though I recommend the 1.4 TSI engines, I don't recommend DSG. Ford C-Max Powershift is another possibility, but starting to have problems. Toyota Verso 1.8i Valvematic Multidrive S works well. But a 2 Series Active Tourer with torque converter auto is probably your best bet.
