Advice on buying an Audi A4 Cabriolet

I am thinking of buying a convertible and am leaning towards an Audi A4 or BMW 3 series. What would be your pick taking into account reliability, service costs, driving enjoyment and major repair risks?

The A4 has a soft-top. The E93 3 Series has a folding hard top. So depends where you regularly park. For problems check both the cabrio entries and the main model entries in www.honestjohn.co.uk/carbycar
