Looking for a spacious petrol manual car
I'm looking for a petrol manual car. Needs to be quite large, comfortable on occasional long motorway trips and strong enough engine for easy overtaking. Reliable and good looking would be a nice. Economy not the most important as only do 8-10 k miles a year.

The Avensis 1.8i Valvematic is probably the most sensible choice but very dull to look at so the colour is important. A Mazda 5 2.0 150PS is fine. The 1.6D offers a better drive, bit is more likely to have problems as it gets older. A Honda Civic 1.8 i-VTEC is decent to drive, economical and has a voluminous and versatile interior. Just avoid the 3-door.
