Replacing a Citroen Xsara Picasso

I've just updated my owner review of the Citroen Xsara Picasso 2.0 HDi. My dilemma comes from what to replace it with: The Peugeot Partner Tepee & Ford Tourneo Connect are currently on the shortlist. I prefer a higher driving position due to back issues and something versatile for load carrying as well as longer distance cruising (typically one passenger and two medium sized dogs with harness restraints and in dog baskets on the back seat - so it needs to be quite wide).

An alternative to the Peugeot is the Ford Tourneo Connect with the 1.0 ecoboost engine (yes, it might struggle with a heavy load, but should be fine otherwise). However, I'm concerned with reports of clutch issues with this engine. Either of these would be bought new. For a used alternative, a Toyota Verso might make sense.

The current Picasso is good because on some models the rearmost side windows can be flapped open to help get rid of doggy smells. Yes, could have clutch issues with the Tourneo Connect 1.0 Ecoboost, as have been with the Focus and C-MAX 1.0 Ecoboost. The PSA 1.3 Puretech 110 and 130 engines are better (308, 208, 2008, C3 Picasso).
