Small Turbo Petrol
My brother is considering buying a brand new or max two year old petrol Ford Focus with a 1.0L EcoBoost Engine (Manual Transmission).
Are there any other petrol cars you can suggest with a small turbo charged engine? It needs to be a family size hatchback and as he drives less than 5000 miles a year, needs to be petrol engine. Also he doesn't like the idea of owning any premium brand, as he's not into cars and not into showing off either.
I test drove a new Seat Leon 1.2 Manual a few months back and I thought it was okay. What are your thoughts?

The best is the Peugeot 308 1.2 Puretech 130 Active (230Nm torque, 6-speed box). I've run one for 10,000 miles. It has averaged 48.39mpg (calculated). It's very well equipped (a/c, satnav, cruise). And you can probably get one for about £16,000 via a broker or a sensible dealer.

Relaxed but still enjoyable to drive, well-equipped for the money, a huge choice on the used market.
