Why is my new Focus exhaust so noisy?
I've just had a new exhaust system fitted to my 2004 Ford Focus. The new exhaust makes a loud noise (like a turbo exhaust) when changing gear from 2nd to 3rd and also when I go round corners makes a knocking/creaking noise. I'm wondering if this is normal?

If it is an aftermarket (cheap) exhaust it will not be the same internally as a Ford OEM exhaust and that might explain the sound difference. But still important to get it checked for any leaks that might be causing the noise.
