Should I buy a Honda CR-V or something else?

I have avoided the Honda CR-V in the past due to high running costs but the 2015 changes seem to have sorted that problem. Is this the right 4x4 for comfort & reliability and is the new 1.6 diesel sound from a DPF point of view.......or do you recommend something else?

The Real MPG average is 57mpg, which beats any other SUV I can think of: www.honestjohn.co.uk/realmpg/honda/cr-v-2012 No reports of DPF problems as yet, probably because the engine is very efficient, even though it does not employ manifold in head technology.
