Buying a Ford Fiesta - 125PS or 100PS?

In your opinion, is the 125PS engine in the Ford Fiesta 1.0 worth the extra over the 100PS version? I had a test drive of the 100 Titanium today and the salesman tried to steer me away from the 125 versions. What's your view on these engines?

I've only driven the 125PS manual and the 100PS Powershift. Both drove well, so really it depends how much you treasure the extra performance of the 125. I did a search for these for another reader recently, which you can find in Ask - www.honestjohn.co.uk/askhj/

Used examples were expensive at all the usual nearly new specialists, but I found the cheapest using www.motors.co.uk They are nearly all the 100PS version.
