Faulty temp sensor on Citroen C3 - how can I fix it?

The fan on my 2005 Citroen C3 is stuck on, even after I turn the ignition off. The coolant levels are fine and I was forced to disconnect the large multi plug fitted on the cooling fan housing. I reconnect it after two hours and the fan came on again .

I plugged a code reader and no fault codes stored on the data side the coolant reading 50c. Are there two temperature switches? And where are the relays . Or is the fan controlled by the ECU? Can you point me in the right direction?

What has probably happened is that the temp sensor/sender switch screwed into the water jacket of the engine has stuck on. Trace the cable back to the switch in the block, replace it and the fan should function normally. This may be a garage job because of the size of socket needed to remove the sensor/sender, and, of course, you'll need to anti-freeze to replace the coolant you lose.
