Can you help with my car search?

I've shortened my used car search list to either a Mazda 2 after 2007 or a Ford Fiesta after 2008. I have used the warranty index stats to come up with these as I feel they are both reliable. I do believe they are the same vehicle underneath according to your review.

I also noticed you gave the Mazda 2 a three star rating, while giving the Fiesta five stars. Although they are the same car, I'm just wondering where they differ and how I can choose from the two based on my requirements?

The Mazda 2 1.3TS2 82PS (or any fancy name variation of this) is the most fun to drive and the most economical. The Fiesta 1.25 or 1.4 2008 - 2013 is the most reliable, but they took a dive once Ford changed the front. I'll revisit those star ratings because though the Fiesta deserves five for being both good and reliable, the harder riding Mazda 2 is sportier and more fun to drive.
