Can you recommend a petrol SUV for towing?

I need a new SUV for towing a caravan, which will weigh about 1600kg. Any recommendations for both economy and CO2 emissions? Diesels are out of the question as I only do short journeys when not towing.

The only one I can think of is the Toyota RAV-4 2.0i Valvematic Multidrive S, but that is a CVT auto and not really up to towing. If you need an automatic and need to tow, then probably best to go for a Mazda CX-5 2.2 Skyactiv D auto, which is an excellent six-speed torque converter automatic.
