How much is my 2003 Honda Civic worth?

I have owned since new 2003 Honda Civic 2.0l Type S. It is a great car but I am aware that it will probably soon need work doing to it as it has done 112,000 miles. You recommend that you don't pay more than a car's value to keep it on the road. It is due its MoT and service this month and I am struggling to find out its value. Your site doesn't allow me to select the Type S for that year. I would be grateful if you could give me an idea of its value.

Also if the bill does come in greater than its value, what car would you recommend as a replacement?

That was a great car with a de-tuned version of Honda's best ever, most bulletproof car engine. They're coming up at £1800 - £1900, but if you p/x you probably won't get more than £1000. In that circumstance, because it's such a good car, I'd hang on to it until something big goes wrong, like the ABS or the gearbox, or structural rust, then scrap it.
