Why is our Citroen DS3 misfiring?

Our Citroen DS3 has developed a misfire. Any idea why and how we can fix it?

If this has a petrol engine the issue is probably with the timing chain. Seems that various EU manufacturers used the same supplier of timing chains and were all let down. Rights for rejection of the car are here: www.honestjohn.co.uk/faq/consumer-rights/
