Stop-start problems with new Honda CR-V

I have a new Honda CR-V, with 5000 miles on the clock. Is it normal for the stop-start not to work and the low battery sign to come on?

If the battery cannot hold a charge it cannot hold enough charge for the stop-start to operate. The car probably needs a new battery.
