Faulty used car - should Nissan refund me?

We recently purchased a car from a Nissan dealer without seeing it on the assumption they sell top quality cars. However when the car was delivered it had loads of marks and scratches on it. I contacted the dealer straight away and they weren't having it. In the end they agreed to pay £250 for the hassle - but I still haven't received the money .

After a few days we noticed a few further issues and I contacted Nissan customer services and they have come back saying I need to send the car back to the dealer for the repairs. But the dealer is about 300 miles away.

My question is: Am I able to get more compensation from the dealer or should I take this further with Nissan?

Presumably the car was second hand? But anyway, the matter is between you and the dealer you bought from, not between you and Nissan. Any legal remedy you may have is against the supplying dealer: www.honestjohn.co.uk/faq/consumer-rights/

The dealer cannot be held responsible for the fact he is located 300 miles from your home even though you may have thought the car was covered by a Nissan 'umbrella' warranty. That only applies to manufacturer warranty defects, not scratches and trim damage.
