Buying a used estate - V50 or Passat?
I'm looking to own a diesel estate for the long term. But I can not decide between a Volvo V50 2.0d SE 2004 or a Volkswagen Passat 1.9 Trendline diesel 130 2005. What do you recommend ?

I don't "recommend" either. Check them both out in www.honestjohn.co.uk/carbycar But on balance a B6 (not a B7) Passat should work out best. The B7 Passat from 2005 - 2011 was a disaster zone.
