What should we look for when buying a Nissan Figaro?

My wife has seen a Nissan Figaro at a dealer for £5500 which she is very keen on. It's a 1991 model and has done 35,000 miles. The aspects of the car that she likes are the size, soft top and image. What things should I look for if we test drive the car, and are there any issues with this model?
