Will I fit a set of golf clubs in a Saab 9-3 convertible?
I have decided to stay with Saab (I've had three since 1983) and buy a used 9-3 convertible. Your review is very helpful, but can you give me an idea of the boot space?
The be-all and end-all is my golf equipment, which has to 'live' in the car. Is the space nearly that of the equivalent saloon? Will it hold a full bag of clubs and an electric trolley (wheels off if necessary) as well. What is your advised engine choice? (I don't want a diesel). I hanker for the 2.0T 200PS.

It probably will if you leave the top up. Doubtful with the top down. A mechanism prevents the hood being lowered if the boot is too full to leave space for it. Yes, avoid the 1.9 diesel and avoid the 1.8 litre Vauxhall engine. Stick with the chain cam SAAB petrol engines.
