Buying an automatic SUV- what would you recommend?

My father would like to change his car. Right now he owns a 2011 Audi Q5 2.0-litre petrol with a manual gearbox, with 75,000 miles on the clock. He would now like something with an auto 'box.

He can't decide between BMW X3 2.0 190 diesel auto, Audi Q5 2.0 TDI 190 DSG and Mazda CX-5 2.2 175 auto. First two cars are at least £10,000 more expensive for similar equipment as a fully loaded Maza CX-5. What's your opinion?

The BMW X3 is the best, but it isn't £10,000 better than the CX-5. it is slightly more economical. Q5 2.0TDIs are still old timing belt engines.
