Buying First Car - Manual or Automatic?
I am currently learning to drive in a manual and have actually found it quite easy to do. I am also starting to look at buying my first car. As i'm learning in a manual I can buy either a manual or an automatic. The problem is that although I find manuals easy to use, I don't like them at all. I just want to get from A to B. So should I buy a manual to build up my experience with them or buy an automatic because I prefer them?

I think it's important to pass your test in a manual so that you always have the choice of manual of automatic in the future. Automatics are inevitably more expensive generally and not being able to drive a manual may mean you have to pass up a very good buy.
But once you have passed your test, buy a proper automatic, not an automated manual (and preferably not a DSG). Then learn to drive two footed: left foot for the brake, right foot for the accelerator. That way you have far greater control over the car at all times and in low speed emergencies can actually stop instantly rather than hitting something.
