Cars for very big people - what do you recommend?

I currently drive a Volkswagen Golf Plus and am looking to change it, but don't really want to spend the money commanded for a Golf SV. My challenge is that I am a very big guy with very large thighs and long legs. The Golf Plus isn't bad because the seating position combined with rake/reach gives me a decent driving position.

The standard Golf doesn't work for me, but I'd consider something similar to the Golf Plus, mid-4x4 types. A saloon would be OK if it worked, I struggled a little with the new Passat. What do you suggest I buy?

The old model Ford C-Max was good. The current model Mazda 5 is good. SUVs aren't as good because though their roofs are the same height they are higher off the ground and their cabins are shallower.
