Volkswagen Passat diesel experiencing clutch problems

My 2010 Volkswagen Passat diesel is experiencing some clutch problems. Driving at 30mph the clutch is fine, but when I accelerate up to 50mph the clutch pedal drops to the floor, leaving very little room to push it down. However, when I slow to about 20mph, it returns to its original position. What’s going on?

There is air or water in the clutch release system. As the car heats up the moisture turns to steam so the hydraulics don't work. Bleeding the system should sort it out.
