Need to buy a small 4x4 - what do you recommend?

I have a old Range Rover which has been brilliant. However, I don't really use it as much as I use to and I still need a four wheel-drive that I can use around the estate and for the little bit of off roading

The new car must be able to pull a small trailer or use a back rack when we go camping in the summer. It also has to get us and all our kit to the airport for skiing, but am quite happy to use a roof rack for this. The car must also be economical, cheap to insure and cheap road tax.

What cars do you suggest? I have looked long and hard at what's available and I keep coming back to the Suzuki Jimny, if they still imported them.

Suzuki does still import and market the Jimny. But the FIAT Panda 4x4 and FIAT Panda Cross are much better: www.honestjohn.co.uk/road-tests/fiat/fiat-panda-cr.../
