Why is my Focus leaking diesel?

I have a Ford Focus 1.6 Diesel (2012) which occasionally drops fluid over my driveway. Initially I thought this was oil, but after a service they could find no reason for it.

As it has just happened again, I have investigated further and it appears to be diesel. Could the warm weather cause fuel expansion and cause the leak? If not, what else could be causing it?

Is it coming from the front, the middle, or the rear of the car? If the front, it could be an injector seal. If the centre or rear it could be a fractured fuel line. If you can trace it as fuel expansion coming out of the filler cap then the very simple answer is not to brim the tank.
