Do all used cars get a six month warranty?
I have been told that ANY car now sold by a dealer MUST have six months warranty on engine and gearbox, is this true and on what age of car would this apply to?

Not quite right. A dealer can be held responsible for any problem either present or developing on the date of sale for a period of six months from the date of sale. Explained here: www.honestjohn.co.uk/faq/consumer-rights/
