Three week wait for a new clutch pedal
I have a 2004 Nissan Micra k12. Recently the return clip snapped off. This clip is a small strengthened piece of metal. The clutch pedal still working and pressure of it is the same. I went to a local dealer to buy the replacement clip/retainer and was told a complete clutch pedal replacement had to be done at a cost of £224.
The pedal is £91.86 and there is a ridiculous 3 week wait for it. My car has done 25,000 miles which is extremely low for its year. Can I still drive the car? Should a car with this low mileage have a clutch pedal break? Can I buy this part elsewhere?

Various options. Get a small garage to fabricate a matching return clip or something that will do the same job. Check with a parts factor if there is a compatible part from something else. Or start searching on the Internet: www.honestjohn.co.uk/useful-websites/parts-accesso.../
