Peugeot service technical ability
My 2003 Peugeot 807 had a new engine after a cam belt failure with 87,000 miles on the clock. The dealer fitted the new engine and clutch and reported the old turbo was ok and refitted. The new engine seemed a little under powered but this was not pursued.
After about 10k miles and 18 months the car went in for diesel additive top up. It took the dealer several attempts to reset the trips and regen the DPF filter. They said that they had "completely reset the system" after fitting a new fuel cap sensor and replacing some unspecified loose wires on the engine management. Since then the car has had severe loss of power, especially when cold or at low revs, to the extent that it can hardly move off on an incline.
The dealer has had the car in the garage for 10 working days in the last visit. All they tell me is that they are finding it hard to identify the problem. They seem very helpful but are not fixing the fault. I'm not sure whether to slate them or give them the benefit of the doubt fixing what may be a difficult problem.

Could be that despite having the Eolys system the DPF is choked with ash. Having that cleaned out by the Ceramex or Terraclean process might solve the problem. 85k is the kind of mileage when a DPF can be choked by ash.
