Why are the warning lights flashing on and off on my Renault Clio?

My daughter owns a 2004 Renault Clio, with the 1.4 16V engine. She bought the car from an independent trader and it has been back several times already. It still has some warranty left.

The problems surround the engine management and electrical warning lights, which flash on and off. The engine itself runs fine, no loss of power or irregular running problems.

Initially they tried cleaning out the throttle body, which was okay for a few days then the lights were back on again. We went back to the trader again and a third party garage fitted a new throttle body and all was well for about six weeks- but now the lights are back on again. Can you suggest what else might be causing the problem?

If she bought it less than 6 months ago it's still down to the trader to fix it. Otherwise get it to an independent specialist. Might be the cat converter starting to fail.
