Tyre problems with Jaguary XF Sportbrake
I took my Jaguar XF Sportbrake 3.0 V6 Portfolio for its first service on 06/12/13 (new in March 2013) having covered 17,802 mainly motorway miles. I was told that all four tyres needed replacement although they had plenty of tread, but were damaged.
I agreed to the replacement at £1200, but asked to see the tyres as I couldn't understand how all four could be damaged as the alloy wheels are unmarked and the tyre pressures always correct. I photographed the tyres as they all had splits on the inside walls - the technician said they were faulty and would send them back to Dunlop for inspection - and I assumed some form of refund.
However, six months on and I am still chasing the dealer for a response. They always say they'll call me back, but never do. The car is now due for another service and I'm reluctant to take it back until the tyre issue is resolved. What do you think? I have copies of the photos.

Reads to me like damage to the inner shoulders from straddling speed cushions, which severely abrades the inner shoulders. Never straddle speed cushions. Always drive one wheel over and one wheel on the flat.
