What's causing my Volkswagen Jetta's clutch to judder?

I seem to have a problem with my recent Volkswagen Jetta purchase. When engaging first gear and reverse there seems to be a judder. Volkswagen has fitted a new clutch under warranty but it seems to have made the problem worse. Any idea what the problem could be?

Usually a new clutch should solve this problem so it sounds very strange. Try posting in Technical Matters in the Backroom at honestjohn.co.uk/forum where someone might be able to help you.
