Best sports car for £15,000?

I'm 61 and want to be a car. Due to my age, this will be my last chance to get a big boy's toy before senility and a Honda Jazz hit the horizon. I want something powerful, comfortable and with more than 2 seats preferably. I love the look and sound of Porsches but the older ones, according to you, can be problematic. I've also not got to look an idiot driving around in my toy.

I'll have about £10,000 to £15,000 cash to spend, maybe more. Have you any suggestions to fit my budget?

£15k just about gets yourself into an early 2006 Jag XK 4.2 coupe, if you like that sort of thing. But the book says that £14k can get you a 2006 Mercedes E63 AMG. So if you think you can handle 514PS, 630Nm torque, 0-60 in 4.3 seconds, phenomenal mid-range acceleration, but a top speed probably restricted to 155, go for one. That's what I'd have done. I love that engine. Included in this test: www.honestjohn.co.uk/road-tests/mercedes-benz/merc.../?
