Odometer displaying incorrect mileage - how can I fix it?

I own a Peugeot 308 SW, which has covered 57,000 miles. Last week the odometer reading suddenly jumped to 94,000 miles. Is this a known fault on this model and what is the best way to correct it?

To re-set it you will need to go to a digital dashboard correction service which you will find on Google. But this won't necessarily get to the bottom of why it went wrong, which might be oil getting past the seal into the speed sensor in the final drive.
