Can you recommend a cheap estate/SUV?
I am looking to buy an estate or SUV, budget around £7500. I do a daily commute of four miles each way and the regular trips of 500 miles round trip to see family.
Can you recommend something which is a nice drive, economical and that should be good to last the next 5-10 years?

You can actually get a new Dacia Logan MCV for that, but better to pay £8,395 to get tyhe 90TCe engine: www.honestjohn.co.uk/carbycar/dacia/logan-mcv-2013/ Used, think KIA cee'd or Hyundai i30 1.6CRDI SW, earlier than 2010 in order to avoid any possibility of DPF problems.
