Will stop/start cause engine damage?
Can you tell me if stop/start systems are bad for engine life? I’ve been told they contribute to the early failure of turbos and I can’t imagine that the amount of fuel saved will pay for a replacement.

Stop/start does not stop the engine if it is too hot, too cold or if the battery isn't up to restarting it. In will not damage the engine.
