Centre console discolour on Nissan Juke

I am having a problem with the centre console on my six month old Nissan Juke. The paint has started to bubble and discolour. I have returned it to my local dealer, but Nissan has rejected my warranty claim because they say some form of chemical had come in contact with it.

The paint is now peeling and I am concerned it will get even worse. My argument is that Nissan should not make interiors that can't cope with day to day driving and if vulnerable to 'chemicals' the customer should be made aware of this on purchase.

I don't know where to turn now, I feel I shouldn't have to pay for a new console and feel let down. Can you help?

You must have spilled something on it, but if you want to take the matter further, get an expert witness report, then take legal action against the supplying dealer.
