Buying a new car from an online car dealer
I am buying a new car from an online car dealer. I paid the deposit by credit card. I was told that I will not pay the remainder of the car price until the car is delivered to my home address and I will only pay the remainder of the car price by bank transfer if I am totally satisfied.
My question is, once I paid the remaining by bank transfer then what documents should I receive to prove my ownership of the car? The logbook, if available, would only say who is the registered keeper but not the owner, right?

You should get a fully itemised receipt and two keys, because if they keep one of the keys they can take the car back at any time. You should see the V5C with your name on it before the dealer sends it off.
