Is the Vauxhall Astra prone to brake and wheel problems?
I own a 2012 Vauxhall Astra 2.0 CDTi and the car’s rear pads were seized in pad carrier causing heat damage to the disks. The work to fix the problem cost over £200. I’ve also had issues with the quality of the 17-inch alloys, with the lacquer peeling off. Are these common problems?

Common problem with this model I'm afraid: www.honestjohn.co.uk/carbycar/vauxhall/astra-j-200...d
Lacquer only really works on alloys that are first painted. Polished alloy coated with lacquers has never lasted longer than about 12 months.
