Which car for lowest maintenance

I need something my wife can drive (so not a long car) that is safe and also spacious enough to accommodate two children. So a large cabin, but don't need a big boot. It must be a car that won't break down regularly. This car will do about 15-18,000 miles a year.

I have the following in mind, which one would you choose with reliability in mind? These cars below are around 2006/7 with ~ 100 000+ miles on the clock:

1. Seat Altea 1.9 TDi (I'll choose one without Teves) I have a 2006 Altea XL 1.9 with 124,000 on the clocks and very happy with it. I think this one ticks the boxes well.

2. Seat Altea 2.0 TDi DSG (does this engine suffer from the same oil pump issues than the ones in the A4 Audi etc? And is this DSG the problematic one?)

3. Renault Megane 2009 (1.5dci new shape with high mileage)

4. Mercedes A class (previous shape, perhaps 180 DCi)

If you don't mind please indicate which ones you will choose and which ones you will avoid, if there are any you would avoid.
