Stalling Peugeot 107 - what's the cause?

My son’s Peugeot 107 stalls immediately after it is started. The AA, local garage and main Peugeot dealer are stumped - they think the problem might be between the immobiliser ECU and the engine ECU.

They would like to rule out the engine ECU but apparently it cannot be tested because it is too new - no software for testing it. They are now going to strip it down to get at the immobiliser ECU to test that and the wiring between. Do you have any ideas please? Also do you think it should be covered under warranty?

If it's less than 3 years old and has been correctly serviced then it is covered by warranty.
