Which hatchback could I replace my MG ZR with?
My beloved 8-year-old MG ZR with 29,000 on the clock has been written off and I'm seeking a replacement 1.2 or 1.4, 3/5-door hatchback, made in Britain, up to £11,000 new or pre-reg. I've seen a Micra, a Jazz, a Fiesta, and a Citroen and am aware of a new type MG. Your advice, please.

There have been some quite good reports of the new MG3, so it might be worth a punt if the price is right: www.honestjohn.co.uk/carbycar/mg/mg3-2012/. The Fiesta and the Micra are no longer made in Britain, but the Note is. The cheapest car of this size is the Dacia Sandero, from £7395 for the 90TCe, but that comes from India.
