Can you recommend a diesel automatic for £10,000?
With a budget of £10,000, what Focus or bigger-sized diesel auto would you recommend secondhand? I'm running 30,000 miles per year, so it shouldn't be too expensive to run in fuel/parts, and needs to be reliable.

Against your saving in fuel costs you're going to have to put things like a new DPF every three years or so unless you run the risk of having it removed. But probably a Hyundai i30 1.6CRDI auto or KIA cee'd 1.6CRDI auto. Chain cam engines. And if you get one built before spring 2010 it probably won't have a DPF.
