How can I adapt my Suzuki Splash's headlights for driving in France?

In November 2012 I purchased a brand new Suzuki Splash 1.2 Automatic. I intend taking it to France later this year but could find no guidance in the handbook about adapting the headlights for driving on the right. I contacted Suzuki at Milton Keynes for advice. Their solution is to sell me Suzuki’s Continental Driving Pack (cost £70) which contains a warning triangle, high visibility vest, spare fuses, spare light bulbs, etc. plus headlight adapters. But I already have the other items from previous Continental visits in other cars. Can you suggest a cheaper solution to my problem please?

You can probably buy patches at the ferry or Eurotunnel port. Or make your own by placing the car facing a wall and experimenting. But remember, the glue on the patches may react with the polycarbonate lenses. You may get away with simply turning the beams down as low as possible in front of the car, which is what most people do.
