Is there a smaller car than my Saab 9-3 that will fit inside my 7-foot garage?
My garage has a 7-foot entrance which cannot be widened. I have driven Saabs since 1970 and my 9-3 will squeeze in. I am looking for a reasonably-sized but narrower vehicle and feel a higher one would also give better visibility. I have looked at smaller Mercedes and Audis but they are no narrower than my Saab 9-3. Any ideas, please? I am prepared to pay around £20,000 for a suitable vehicle.

They don't make cars narrower any more unless you go for a smaller car, such as a Skoda Roomster, SEAT Ibiza or much smaller Hyundai i10. It is a significant problem to anyone with a mean-minded developer's 7-foot wide garage entrance. New houses are sold on the number of rooms, not the dimensions of them.

I drive a SAAB 9-5 Aerodeck 04-Reg and I am fed up with the tight squeeze in and out of my garage. I would like to buy a smaller car with all or more of the comfort and gadgets that the SAAB has.
I need a new car which cannot be wider than 64 inches. My garage door is only 68 inches wide. I want the safest rated car possible, please. What can you recommend?
What is the meaning of the different lengths and widths in the data for any given car?
