Is left-hand drive or right-hand drive safer?

Which is safer - RHD or LHD?

Depends which side of the road you are driving on. In Europe, type approval has put the indicators on the LHS of the wheel whether the car is LHD or RHD. This makes it easier to indicate with the fingertips in a LHD manual car because it leaves the right hand free to change gear. But in Japan, Malaysia and Thailand they drive on the left, like we do, and locate the indicator switch on the right of the column for that reason.
