Which MPV has a comfortable driver's seat, large boot and accessories?

Three of my last four vehicles have been Renault Espaces. As Renault no longer offers an Espace in the UK, and not being enamoured with the Grand Scenic, I am looking to change and downsize. My current mileage is 8000 – 10,000, of which 3000 is in France. Being on the large side, the driver's seat position is very important. Five seats are acceptable but I need boot space, goodies including climate control and front/rear parking sensors, and good access for a small Spaniel. Any suggestions? Current thoughts are Skoda Yeti or Volkswagen Tiguan, both in two wheel as I'm definitely not a 4x4 type.

2011-2013 model Mazda 5 1.6d TS2 or 2.0i TS2. Very big in the front with excellent access and, with its long travel suspension and Toyo J48 205/55 R16 tyres, the best ride quality of any car currently in production.
