I need to replace my Mondeo Estate with a car which offers lots of legroom - should I get another Mondeo?
I 'm 6 feet 5 inches and currently drive a Ford Mondeo Ghia X 2.5 Estate S-reg. It meets my priority requirements; long legroom (with doubly adjustable steering wheel), cruise control, good performance and air conditioning for long drive comfort. It also has ample room for a large dog in flat entry boot. I would like to know whether there is any other car with similar specifications, otherwise i will get a newer Mondeo Ghia X. However I wonder whether the diesel option for improved economy would be a good move (I have heard that there have been habitual problems with something to do with the diesel version).

The current Mondeo Estate is one of the most spacious cars on the road with a huge boot and plenty of space for the driver. The TDCI engines are very frugal and the 1.8 TDCI has an average figure of 49.6mpg so it's a very good choice. The one other car to consider is the new Skoda Superb Estate. It has even more room than the Mondeo and is better value for money too.
