Do you recommend the Dacia Duster for towing a caravan?
My wife and I are looking at car and caravan combinations, and are considering something like a Skoda Octavia estate or a Dacia Duster to pull a caravan of up to 1200 kg. The manufacturers give quite a lot of information regarding weights but it can be confusing. Would a diesel Octavia be best? We can spend about £12,000 and would not expect to need 4x4.

£11,495 gets you a new Dacia Duster Ambiance 2WD diesel with a three year warranty. Another £395 buys another two years' warranty on top, so a new car with a 5-year warranty is still within your £12,000 budget.
