We're looking for a car which is more comfortable than our 2005 Saab 9-3. What do you suggest?

We have a 2005 Saab 9.3 Vector Sport TDI with 50,000 miles and our only frustration is the hard ride. We are both retired and do about 8000 miles per year, but like a comfortable ride. We have looked at changing the spring set on the car but have had mixed advice, therefore we are looking to replace it with a late model car. I play golf and therefore need a decent boot. Do you have any advice for us please?

If you're after comfort then the two makes to consider are Volvo or Mercedes-Benz. Volvo makes the most comfortable seats and its cars are ideal for long distance comfort. For either make, avoid Sport trims and stick to standard models (such as Avantgarde or Elegance with Mercedes-Benz and SE or SE Lux with Volvo). If you're after something a similar size you could go for a Mercedes-Benz C-Class. The similar size Volvo S60 is being replaced at the moment and the new model should be on sale in a few months. The older one is best avoided as it's starting to feel quite dated now.
